Strong but silky-smooth, with a powerful, dry aftertaste. It is very aromatic with hints of peach, rose, apricot, vanilla, orange and lemon rind. Strongly bound and quietly controlled, the flavours express all the characteristics of the aromas in this, the world's first 'bière brut'.  

Dark Bière Brut

The bouquet is complex with notes of sherry, vanilla and oak. Hops and roasted malts provide a bitterness that is nicely balanced with the tannin of the wood and a sweet zest from the alcohol. The beer has been decanted in young American oak that was especially burned for this beer.

Dark Ale

Malheur 12 is a full bodied dark ale, round and smooth with a touch of sweetness. The alcohol offers a sharpness that is complimented by the dry and bitter coffee characteristics. Touches of nuts, honey and rum from the brown candy sugar complete the complex taste experience.

Malheur 10 holds a rose-like, peachy aroma. Orange, lemon-grass and lemon-curd brighten the rich, oily, honeyed, texture. This medium to full bodied beer is lively with carbonation and delicate sour touches. The warm and bitter finish leaves a lasting impression of cirtus, hops, and alcohol

The use of wheat malts creates a very dry and grassy fresh impression. There is a wonderful mouthfeel that is enlivened by the high carbonation levels and a very fine bitterness. Accents of fresh hay laced with mild alcohol finishes this complex beer with an uncomplicated structure.

Malheur 6 is a beer that utilizes the classic accents of the Saaz hop. Characterized by a grassy and spicy first impression and a resinous lingering on the palate, this beer is sharp and bright. It finishes with a smooth touch of cereal and malt sweetness.
